Is the flat side of the springs the top? or is the round side of the springs the top? I'm about to install and there's no intructions. thanks.

 

flat side is the top. On the Espelir make sure you know which ones go to the front and which ones going to the rear since they don't have the stamp F&R on it but they do have a little piece of sticker on it. But if your don't have it then just make sure that the thicker spring going to the back since i believed it's 20mm front and 30mm rear.
