so im drivin to school with my friend. and i rip it in first gear to like 50mph and that was it, no redline nothin. i stop the car, he gets out. i then put it in first, and umm like WTF?? My JIC titanium exhaust sounded different! it sounded like a old ass fart car! its really weird. i was really freakin out at first. then my friend checked my car, when it happened, my check engine light did not go off. the car drives perfectly fine, except for the stupid noise. my friend says it seems im missin an 02 sensor wire. he said it mustve came out or somethin. Question, what do i do! im totally clueless about this! i dont even wanna drive the car cuz it sounds like sh*t!!! please someone help me! do i need another 02 sensor, and if so, where can i obtain one. thanks

Maybe you have hole in your exhaust...
my friend had same problem with crcack in exhaust..

I would jack it up and look around to make sure no holes.
And all the sensors look good that should be connected to exhaust.
Also PM hardtopguy for parts.

 

I would jack up the car and take a close look at all sections of the exhaust piping, exhaust manifold, mufflers, etc.

also... speed @ rpm in 1st gear

7000 - 34.74 mph
7500 - 37.22 mph
8000 - 39.70 mph
8500 - 42.19 mph
9000 - 44.67 mph

10075 - 50.00 mph

Yeah if he hit 52 probably some engine damage.
