Default exhaust popping!

I changed my plugs oem ngk oridiums, My valves were adjusted at 42k the first time, now i have 79k and i hear popping out the exhaust once in a while but i never had a missfire code pop up ever i had the car since it had 17k on it, is it possible that if the valves are a little loose that it can pop like that at idle?

When the car pops, is it warmed up or is it still a bit cold? Are you de-catted? The iridium plugs probably have nothing to do with the pop.

When you changed your plugs, how bad were the old plugs you took out? If they were really bad it could just be the new hot plugs poppin off excess fuel that wasn't being burned by the previous set. I run a tp as well, and given our cars rich fuel mixture from the factory it's probably normal to be hearing a pop here and there with a tp, especially when it's cold, I know I do!

I assume this happens under engine braking. You should hear the neon based SRT4s with their straight through exhaust. Sounds like sat. night in Bagdad or july 4 in Boston.

It doesn't hurt anything.

just want to add something here.

My exhaust had the similar pops before [MY01@90k]
didn't have CEL and it sounds funny

then I had random misfire P0301 - 0304 and P1399

I replace the fuel injectors. It fixed the CEL
and the pops did not come back again.
