You could get a Speed N1 exhaust and save more than 30lbs.

I have the Mugen header and exhaust. The combo reduced the exhaust weight by 32 lbs. I noticed that the vtec transition smothed out and I picked up midrange power. It's quiet and there are gaines where I want them. I'm into tracking, not drag racing so I got exactly what I was looking for.

I don't track, but I just can't resist changing intake and exhaust to let her breath a bit easier, and the sound from an aftermarket exhaust, any of them, is a big improvement over OEM along with looks. I cut a bit over 30 lb with the change out but did not see a big improvement in torque or hp. Not like you see in most American built beasts. Honda did a good job considering the price that they kept the car at. Bit expensive for just sound and looks, but then nobody said she was cheap to keep! (kind of like my wife...Shhh)

Because of under the hood heat issues I wrapped my DC's (ya i know it's not recommended, but old habits die hard) and cut a cold air intake. Down here the hot summers can play hell on the performance.

first off any time that you free up exhaust gas it will add hp and help you keep the car in the power band during shifts. Lets not forget that wonderful sound./

every header I have wrapped , has gotten heat soaked and cracked. Yes it will move exhaust gasses out of your exhaust faster, but it will eventually crack your header

yep ....that will eventually happen, always does sooner or later. Kind of like the cost of doing business

I have found that wrapping only down to the 4-1 junction slows it down a bit (at least on my last few). Here it is used more for a heat shield effect than helping to suck out exhaust gasses like we did on the big 8's.

I have been told that wraps for increase exhaust rate does little good on high rever's, something about the already high heat buildup from the higher rev's
