My exhaust vibrates VERY louds when at speed (most any speed) and I let up on the pedal....it resonates through the entire car. With the soft top up it is overwhelming. any help or suggestions. Its all stock top to bottom. Thanks

 

Do you have the stock exhaust? Are you sure it's not decel rattle from your clutch?

 

I guess it could be , all I know is that with the top up it is VERY loud. Are there any easy cures for this if it is clutch related. I felt like it was exhaust related. My entire car is all stock, exhaust, intake,.. everything
2000 model with 41k miles.

 

You either have a leak/hole in the exhaust somewhere or it is decel rattle. Decel rattle is loudest at around 3000-3500 rpms when you let off the gas. If you are hearing this sound when you are accelerating then it might be the exhaust. Get under the car and look for leaks.

The only way to remedy clutch decel rattle is to replace the clutch with the updated version. There is a TSB for this and so take it back to the dealer if you have a warranty. It's harmless, but you have to decide if you want to live with it.

Forgot to mention that I may also be the axle nut, it may need to be re-tightened to spec. There is also a TSB for that. Bottom line narrow down where the noise is coming from.

 

clutch buzz scares me. its so loud. lol
