Default Extended studs!!

Just a warning to any of you who have thought of using ARP long wheel studs......

Some of you may know that Summit is selling metric wheel studs for very cheap. I decided to buy those and it turned out that they ruined a perfectly good set of BRAND NEW wheel hubs. It turns out that the knurled section of the studs is a little bit too big and they will ruin your hubs.

When you are in the market for buying new wheel studs, make sure they are the right size. Basically, the knurled section should be right around 12.2 mm instead of the 12.7 that they sell at Summit. What happens is that when you are trying to press these on, they will deform your wheel hub and it becomes unusable.

Thought I'd share this in case any of you are thinking about buying studs from Summit.

Good info, have you contacted ARP about the problem?

I have these ARP wheel studs on my honda and many other hondas and never have a problem. And yes, they are machine pressed in.
