Default F20 Engine Bearing Identification?

OK, the manual has a table and I wanted to be sure I was reading it right. They list Pink/Yellow and there is a note that states : When using bearing halves of different colors, it does not mater which color is used on the top or bottom.

So that tells me if the table has two colors listed, I should use one from one color and one from the other?

Numbers on the Crank
CCCC
55656

Numbers on the Block
CCDCD

Numbers on the Pistons
3333

So the way I figure the mains, it is
Brown/Black Brown/Black Black/Blue Brown/Black Black/Blue

The pistons were simple, they were all Brown.

Can someone confirm that I need 1/2 or each color?

3333 is stamped on the side of the rods, right?
OK, I read different colors from my table.

Main crank bearings:

5 / 5 / 6 / 5 / 6
C / C / D / C / D

Brown-Black / Brown-Black / Black-Blue / Brown-Black / Black-Blue

The rod bearings are all Green-Brown.

Edit: I guess I just figured out what you mean with 2 different colors. No, there aren't different bearing shells on the same journal. The shells have two colors on the side. In this case a Brown and a Black color spot on the side.

Yeah, I think not. ACL no longer makes bearings. I prefer a proper fitting bearing. So to buy a set of ACL only to buy another oversized set to get the sizes right IMHO is just a bad Idea. I want this built right.

Yes, stamped on the rod ends.

The manual I have is for 00-02. And the Rob bearing are all spec'ed as a single color. So your is for what year? And there have the mixed colors for the rods too?

So did you mix bearing. I.E. upper Green and Lower Brown?

that is what is confusing me. All of the Online parts dealers I use to look up part numbers only list single color bearings. Nothing mixed.

If you add that to the note in my manual you can see why I am asking.

This doesn't make sense.
The journals and the bearing bores are cylindrical and the crankshaft is rotating, so the bearing shells have contact to every part of the crank journals after every revolution.

You're right! I have seen that only single colored shells are offered.
So can use either black or brown shells e.g. if Black-Brown is written. It's between both color classes.
Sorry for the confusion, but I had always single colored configs on my cranks.
