There is a member on here that wants to sell me a f20c for good price. It was taken out of a running vehicle but the motor itself has been sitting outside for awhile so it requires a rebuild or more like replacing of oem internals due to some rust I believe. Not sure how much something like that would cost. What do you guys think something like that would cost?

You have an engine that needs to be rebuilt and you want to buy another engine that needs to be rebuilt?

Engines can be rebuilt and the F20C can too but you don't want anyone working on it claiming that they have done a few before. Do some research and see who is preferred in your area to rebuild your motor or if you don't have anyone, you can buy a replacement and hope nothing is wrong with it but get a warranty if possible.

i wouldnt buy one that i didnt know if it was going to work or not..... i would just build the old one.... the cost will be about the same no matter which way you go but you always have some hidden costs on a rebuild. I just buy JDM ones bc I know they will work and it gives me time to decide what i want in my built one and how much I want to build it... boost/NA ... If you were already boosted It would be a no brainer build for sure but in this case its all about personal choice
