Very slight modification to the fuel line where it connects to the rail, if you use the AP2 rail.

That is IT. Should take you less than a minute to adjust the fuel line to fit.

the ap2 engine doesn't seem to have a timing sensor on the intake camshaft...does that throw a code when using an ap1 ecu??

id imagine you would need the correct ecu for the engine, i doubt an AP1 ecu would run the AP2 engine properly...

No, it actually works pretty well from what I hear.

its not hard. as bill said, the fuel rail is slightly different. i just re-used my ap1 rail for simplicity's sake.

most other parts are interchangable. i did my swap without pulling my a/c compressor - i just unbolted it from the motor and left it in there. when i went to put everything back together i tried to use my AP1 starter, but it did not bolt up correctly. not a big deal, but something to note.

as far as the ECU goes, it should work just fine - though i don't recommend revving your ap2 motor to 9 grand. TDC sensors for the cams work - i'm not sure what maluch had troubles with.

while you're swapping be sure to re-use your ap1 flywheel - it's much lighter than the ap2 one!

^^ exactly like TelosHedge stated. I did the exact same thing, minus A/C as I removed it when did the f22c swap. I however used the f22 fuel rail, very easy to adapt. I run a 2000MY ecu with absolutely no problems, just don't over ev, cuz it won't stop you And yes re-use AP1 flywheel, check to see wear and tear, I opted to resurface mine when swapping engine just for peace of mind.
