Default F22c short block purchase

I've ordered a new f22c short block for my 2007 S2000 - Part Number 10002-PZX-A04: Engine Assembly, Block (W/O Water Pump)

From the photo in the ordering process, it appears to come with the oil pan. Can anyone confirm what other components (oil pan, oil pump, etc) ship with this short block in addition to the obvious ones - upper and lower block, crankshaft. connecting rods and pistons. I'm trying to collect all parts needed for my engine replacement.

Well between 5 and 10 were supposed to ship to the US on 8/9 per local Honda dealership. I'm still waiting to hear if I got one and when it will be delivered. Some Online parts sites list them as available and some don't.

I just wanted to let all know that my f22 short block (not cheap - about $6k) is on a boat from Japan headed to the US.

So they do still make them and ship to US. Can't tell you how many or how often, but mine is scheduled to arrive around 8/19.

Let the rebuild begin...

Keep us posted.
Do I remember a thread not long ago where a member ran into problems with several oem replacement short blocks failing? OP might want to search around for that. I could have it wrong. Its a vague memory.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it. Can't say that's good news and if it happens after 1 year warranty, I'm screwed. I read lots of posts that rebuilt blocks don't last. I sure hope a $6k OEM one does. You would think all parts are identical. Wonder if they're not building them as carefully as in the past by not matching pistons to cylinders and bearings to rod and main journals.

Billman - any truth to this?

I never heard of that either. You cant buy new short blocks for this car. The one you have appears to be part of a very small number that were found. So I have a hard time believing someone had gone through "several" of them. I think rpg is thinking of the person who had 2 or 3 inline pro engines fail?

I recall a thread from a guy in Europe, France maybe, that got a brand new oem Honda block, and it failed in like the first few hundred miles. Got another one, and same thing happened.

I admit I'm fuzzy on recollection of the details.
