Default F22c swap DONE!

Story: Driving to work.......BAM!!! (missing fourth gear sucks A$$)
Went to college for about a year and the s2000 has been sitting in the garage.

Summer came along......

So decided to swap in the F22c motor into my ap1. Many people have told me that if I use the ap1 ecus I could increase the red-line of the F22c engine to 9,000rpms? Well......... I have did it! I've had the car for two weeks now and took the car into v-tec and to 9000rpm red-line many times. But instead of using an 00 or 01 ecu I am using an 02 ecu. Car runs great and better than I thought. Pulls HARD ALL THE WAY.

before the new engine my mods were AEM intake and Invidia Exhaust. What I have noticed is though the Invidia exhaust is still loud lol it seems a little quiter and smooter? Intake is louder for some reasone and makes a very noticeable whistle sound between 3000-4000 rpms. V-tec kicks in harder to and of course more tourqe low end. (very noticeable)

So much dust build up on the car because the S hadn't been washed in a YEAR... I had to wash the car 3-4 times lol... than took a clay bar to it and gave it a niice wax... and i am not a wax/car cleaning guru. (so bare with me)

Here is a pic of the engine/car:

Nice. So making a F22C rev to 9k is as easy as using a ECU from an AP1?

Why is the valve cover black here?? Are you sure it's the f22c, it can rev to 9000 RPM wit the AP1 ecu chip?? i had the same problem as you before, except engine oil starvation on the car, had it out of commission for 1 month, managed to work my butt off to get the drop in, also used credit card for some of the payments, in which is payed off by now. The car has been back with me for 3 weeks now. But, im still wondering, why the black valve cover for that f22c? What is the vin number on that engine, do you know?

Could have just swapped his old spark plug cover over. Engine code is stamped on the block.

Looks like a F20C(1) valve cover; PCV valve is on the top. Why not use the F22C valve cover?
