Does the sound seem to come from under the dash..passenger side?

It's not an electrical thing. Just intake noise, like previous posters said. It comes and goes on my car depending if the airbox lid is on or off.

If I hold the throttle at exactly the right position, I can get it to make the noise continuously, or if I'm passing through that point it'll just make a quick chirp.

Not really a "problem." It's just one of the many harmless noises that this car makes.

I've got the same sound as well. Cricket frequency is a good description. I'm not sure if it a metal rattle or air, but it's subtle and only happens with just a little throttle input. Seems to happen more often under load such as going uphill, but again, only with just a little throttle.

I have the "cricket" noise as well. Sounds like a hormonic vibration resonance of something under the hood.

Looks like im having the same problem.. I'm certain it's not the intake sound becuase my pedal feels hard about an inch down and when it passes that point it makes a squeak sound. Taking off in 2nd gear low revs is a nightmare if I press just that tiny bit more to pass that point where it feels stuck the car hops like crazy makes me look like I just learnt how to drive! It's getting annoying!!!!!

Son of a motherless goat! sorry to post in this a year later but i literally have been trying to figure this problem out for months and i swear i know its not the intake. I wish someone knew because i can't figure it out and won't find the problem by opening the hood since it can only be replicated during actual driving. If anyone knows...please shed some light on this issue.

It's an intake whistle and it is very common.

Could be going in through the throttle shaft side.
