Final Drive Gear Ratios
I found an older post about final gear ratios that stated the following:
> AP#1 runs 4.1 @ 3700RPM @ 80MPH
My '02 runs about 4000RPM at 75MPH, and the person I bought it from (a middle aged woman - original owner) swears it's never been modded, so I'd really doubt the final drive gear is anything but the original 4.1. I'm pretty sure the speedometer is fairly close, but I haven't checked it yet. Does this sound right?

I found this on a review site:
"Another criticism of the S2000 is the way the car is geared. The short gearing allows the car to accelerate reasonably quickly, yet it forces the occupant(s) to endure high-engine revs and correspondingly high levels of engine noise while travelling at highway speeds. In 6th gear, the car is only capable of around 18 mph/1000 rpm - at 75 mph, the engine would be running at roughly 4200 rpm. For comparison, most sports cars tend to achieve about 25 mph/1000 rpm in top gear."
4200 at 75 is in the ballpark of what I'm seeing.

same here, your final drive is stock.
