Default Flashing Cel and hesitation

So my S2000s been having a wierd hesitation feeling for a while now, sometimes it won't accelerate for like 1.5s even when i'm pedal to the medal. It also has a rough idle once in a while, and when the weather first got cold, it even stalled itself. So tonight on the freeway, i noticed that the CEL was blinking, it blinked for about 3seconds, i put the clutch in, and then the light stopped blinking and went away completely. The car drove normal on the way home, anyone know what the problem is? The plugs have been recently replaced with OEM NGK plugs and was gapped and installed by Honda, oil has about 3000kms on it.

Why would you do this?!!

And recheck the plugs to make sure they're properly torqued, ASAP.

If one is loose, it could blow out at any time and damage your head.

If you have a flashing cel, it's usually serious and you don't want to drive it as it may cause more damage.

Pull the codes and you'll see what it is. The flashing is indicating a serious problem.

You should still find out what the cause is. Misfires aren't normal (and are the only cause of a flashing CEL AFAIK) and should be taken very seriously on this motor. Unless you put crap gas in it, it means you have a mechanical issue. It might be as easy as plugs, or a bad coil or knock sensor, but it may stem from cylinder leakage/poor compression.

I'd check the codes, find out if it was one cyl or random, then check the plugs and if it comes back, go through the troubleshooting flowchart in the factory shop manual. It's almost all "shadetree," i.e. you don't need more than hand-tools to check things out.
