Default Flat tire question

I recently have gotten a flat tire and had some questions. The tire is irrepairable because the nail I ran over punctured the sidewall when the tire deflated. I haven't moved the car in a 2 weeks since the puncture because finding decent tires at a good price is hard, plus I lost my wheel lock key and had to order a new one.

To prevent the car from resting on the rim, I've put the scissor jack under the passenger rear jack point. The car sits angled in my driveway which is about a 10 degree angle downwards. I assume parking on this slope, the car's weight is heavy on the driver side front/back and front passengerside.

Now the question.

Would there be any long term effects of leaving the car resting on the jack?

TIA

howard,
if it is a major concern then i would level the jack to ride height so the weight is not being transfered to the left front. But you should be ok the way you have it now.

Depending on how old the jack is, you may blow a seal on the jack by having the weight on it for a long time.

When was the last time you blew a seal on a scissor jack?
