Default Flex fuel CodeP0176

Have an issue with flex fuel sensor/error codeP0176. As soon the sensor reads E85 error comes up. When regular pump gas in the tank it's all good. Triple check all wiring from sensor to k-pro and replace the sensor with brand new one. I am contacting Hondata, to see how they can help me but i was wondering is anybody has any idea/recommendation to resolve this issue...

Thanks guys

So it is working correctly when using regular gas, you get both percentage and temperature that seems accurately?

Do you need to run different spark plugs with E85?

Yes it is running without code on regular gas. Even i will mix e85 with regular gas no code. When just e85 then code comes up. As about percentage yes it is correct. The gas temperature sometimes and for a split second goes up to 100F and then back to 32F.

The "regular pump gas" you're running is what? 87octane E10?!

Same pump every time for E85? Tried a pump on the other side of town?

Trying to learn: Not familiar with "gas temperature" (fuel temperature) . 32°F and 100°F seem extreme.

93 octane pump gas
Same pump every time. Are you trying to say the actual gas in the problem?
Seems like the gas temperature sensor has an issue but that has nothing to do with code0176. Am i right?

Figured you were using 93 octane but I kept seeing "regular gas."

Check/fix the easy stuff first. I doubt it's a fuel problem but bad fuel is easy to rule out by changing where you buy it a couple of times.

Google tells me Royal Farms is about the only vendor in your area. Is there another vendor? High use station will have the freshest fuel. (Sheetz -- which I consider a convenience store that sells gas -- has most of it here in Richmond).

Temperature is measured from the same sensor, not sure why the code only comes on when on E85, maybe just a coincidence.
Sounds more like a wiring issue, or if the input on the kpro board is somehow damaged.

As an update... ...Had low gas and no error code(because 93 octane gas in the tank).
Went to Royal Farm and put in the tank $15.00(about 4.5 gallons) E85. Error code came up. Drove the car for about 22 miles
Next day going to Shell gas station and put in the tank $10.00 V-power 93 octane. No more error code!
With E85in tank ethanol was on 60-65% ethanol
After adding 93octane went up to 80-90% ethanol (NO ERROR CODE!)
It drives me nuts! Last think i will try is to replace the sensor wiring with brand new one and then ground it on injector harness ground location, as Hondata told me to do.
Hopefully this will fix it!
