Default flickering tack after track day

My tack is flickering a little. But when I get on the gas it stops. Only when Im at a stand still it will start to flicker again. Has anyone had this problem after a track day? If so what is it.

It flickering consistently also not at random. There is no check engine light.

Alternator going bad, maybe?

The "flickering tach" is a known symptom, but I can't remember what it is off the top of my head.

No issues with the alternator.

Yeah I think its a ground issue. I had my dash replace 5 months ago because of bubbling on the vinyle. I think the honda dealer just forgot to ground something or something is loss.

How could it be a ground issue? Grounds don't change because you raise the RPM up above idle.

Did you guys read the linked thread? As I said, this is a known problem with a known solution. Why bother asking for help if you have already decided you know the answer?

What do you mean "no issues with the alternator"? How did you determine that? Did you replace the alternator? Did you get it tested?

Did you notice that several other people with the same problem reported that the Honda alternator testers didn't show any issues, but that other testers did? And that the flicking went away when they replaced the alternator?

Interesting. Test your battery and Might want to try to disconnect both battery terminals and touch them together for 1 min (reset),then reconnect , see if it goes back to normal , if not i asume you have a bad gauge. good luck!

Since you track do you have a smaller batery? I did and had the same problem till my battery melted I always noticed the cluster flicker then I popped the hood and noticed the batery had bubbles all over it ready to explode New big battery solved the problem
