Default Fluids...which ones?

Thinking i should change some fluids before winter hits....

I have an 01 with 20k on it. I purchased the car used and have put 3500 miles on it since then. Ive changed the engine oil but was wondering if i should change the trans, diff, and brake fluid now too? possibly other fluids too?

Im not sure of maintenace history on car so im sure changing fluids isnt a bad idea, i just dont know if its too soon for anything or if theres something im not aware i should change.

Any reccomendations as far as what exacltly i should use to change any fluid would be appreciated as well as any tips

thanks in advance guys

Check the FAQs and "Oil Journals" stickied at the top of this forum. Much information will be found there.
Anytime you buy a used car and you don't know the maintenance history, change all fluids that fall within the time and mileage parameter of your car. You have an '01, so do all the stuff that would be done for a car that's 5 years old.
Do the tranny fluid, rear diff fluid, brake and clutch fluid. Your engine coolant should be at least checked and topped up. It should be good for 10 years, but check it and if it doesn't meet with freeze point and boiling point requirements, change it too. 5 years is a pretty long time for any coolant.
Fluids aren't the only maintenance you should be thinking about. Again the FAQs will cover most of these.

I use Mobil 1 for the engine, Mobil synthetic for the diff, and Honda MTF for the transmission. I run ATE in the braking system.

I use Castrol Syntec in the engine, Mobil synthetic in the diff, Honda MTF and/or GM Syncromesh-FM in the tranny, and ATE Superblue or Motul 600 in the brake lines. I use Honda brake fluid in the clutch line. I have never replaced the "supposed to be good for 10 years" OEM coolant, but I did add just a little bit to it (using pre-mixed Honda coolant). I use Rain-X windshield washing fluid. I use 91+ octane gas. I use compressed air in the tires. I can't think of any other fluids in the car.

When I called the dealer to check what needs to be done on MY03, they tried to tell me that the coolant needs to be changed.

Can someone confirm this?
