Default Forced induction (sc'd or turbo) and using a staight pipe(test pipe)

I did a search on test pipes and FI but could not find any articles. So my question is who is using a straight pipe(test pipe) with FI whether its a turbo or a SC? And if your using a Vortech SC does using a straight pipe affect the Vortech black box(computer) settings.

Why do you ask... I had a straight pipe when I had my S2000. A couple of the other 'Speedcraft' guys are probably running straight pipes as well.

Because I'm running a straight pipe. Just want to know if they felt the difference.

Alex, if you want to sell your test pipe, I'll buy it.

On turbocharged cars there will be a difference between cats and no cats... probably won't be near as noticable on a supercharged car.

I have a turbo and the cat caused a power dip after going into vtec which could not be tuned out and cost about 15 - 25 peak HP. It had to go!

turbos work off exhausts gases so changing the piping on a turbo car is different on a SC car. There will be a difference on a SC but really it's unnoticable just like on a NA car. Minnimal gains. This is why you can run a SC car with normal 2.25" diameter piping and to benefit for a turbo car you should have 2.5 and higher preferrably 3".
