Free-flow Catalytic?
after talking with cmnsense today, we were talking about this - he states that the cat on our car is already a straight through pipe with a honey comb liner for the exhaust to react to in the 'cat'. If you go with a straight pipe, its not worth it - emissions, engine check light, bad idle, little/no improvement, etc. I think you are better off sticking with what you have.
I think if we could find someone to make a o2 simulator for this car then you might see improvements, without the simulator I would think the comp. would go into some protection mode... check engine light
I have'nt looked under the car yet to see if we have a 3 or 4 wire o2 sensor, cause they already make simultors for the vettes and camaro's which I think have 4 wires
I would like to put my test pipe in that came with my spoon exhaust , but not until I find a sim. so I get no check engine light...

I would go with a Car Sound cat, The S2000 cat is a good design but the Car Sounds outflow even an NSX cat by almost 3 times and its better than running a test pipe as I have seen many dynos of Car Sound Cat Vs test pipe with only 1-3 hp gains with the test pipe, IMO Not worth it especially when you can recieve up to a $3000 Ticket since a test pipe on the street is a federal crime.
The OEM cat is already a very high flow unit, going straight and removing an O2 sensor will bring on big problems, we've had someone do that already - only way to straight pipe it is to use a different ECU (mugen)
I would assume a O2 simulator would send a 'perfect' signal regardless - how would the ecu react to that ?! not good youd go lean/rich it runs a loop axcept for WOT

When we have the Bolt on Unit available It will be about $235, The car Sound cats Flow Much more than any of its competitors, The only other that comes close is Catco.
