Default Front End Pop

Hi all, I picked up an '03 w/ 44k miles on it back in October and it has been a blast. Anyway, about 3 months ago the front end(I believe it's coming from the right side) started to POP extremely loud when making a low speed sharp turn (e.g. when i'm parking)...but it only occurs when it's wet out. I don't believe it's ever happened when driving in dry weather, though I have started to notice squeaking lately, but I'm hoping that's just bushings needing lubrication.

Anyone have any ideas? I've babied the car since I've had it and have driven it like a little old lady. Of course, I have no idea how hard the previous owner beat on it.

I'm considering taking it to a decent alignment shop and having them look at the front end before I break down and take it to Honda. Hoping I won't have to!

Could be a worn tie rid end, suspension pivot, balk joint, or steering rack mount. Almost anything. You could jack that corner up and shake everything. An alignment shop is a good option too if they're good.

Check your mounts for the upper a-arms in the front of the car where they are welded to the body. The steel has been know to crack, and make a popping noise.

Took it two different places today and no one could find a problem...looks like I'll be crawling under it if it ever stops raining

The cracks in the upper a-arm mounts will not be easy to see. Triple check them. trust me.

After reading this thread, I myself have experienced this exact same pop. Mine started after I installed my Whitline FSB. I am leaning towards my endlinks. I have a new set ordered. After install, I want to see if it will resolve the issue. Check your endlinks maybe?
