Default Front licence plate anchor

Hi all, Newbie here. I actually just picked up my S2000 in Dallas today
and when I got home, tried to remove the front license plate bracket,
only to find that the 10 mm bolts just spin. So, how to gain access to the
fasteners behind the bumper cover?
Thanks for the help!

Bob

You have to remove the front bumper. This will help you do it:

ps. In future, please make your title more descriptive so that someone searching this can pick it up. We have hundreds of threads entitled, "HELP ................ ". This doesn't mean much. I'll change it for you this time.

The nuts are set in the plastic bumper cover. If the bolts are spinning that means the installation was done with either 1) enough force to strip the plastic securing the nuts in place, or 2) the bolts are seized in place and you are now stripping the plastic. Though not a difficult task (about 20 minutes), you should not have to remove the front bumper to remove these bolts. Since the car is new (to you), I'd go back to the place that you bought it from and have them deal with the problem. If you purchased from a private seller, then you might want to try some penetrating oil (Liquid Wrench) to loosen up the bolts before taking the bumper cover off.

I already soaked 'em with PB Blaster. If that does'nt work
I'll just remove the bumper cover, remove offending license plate
bracket, plug the holes and shoot a fresh coat of paint while I have
the cover off.
Thanks for all the input/help!
