Default Front Mount Intercooler with Supercharger?

Has anyone actually tried it? I realise the plumbing will be a pain and there would probably be some lag due to the length of piping, but has anyone actually tried it? Perhaps with a smaller pulley and engine management?

Would be very interested in the results.

I don't know if he is still on the boards, but 1Randyc had it done. Try to contact him.......I also believe that wesmaster was going to do it before he sold his supercharger, he might have some insight as well.

Thanks jlangton. Hopefully they will chime in here.

The SC is going nicely, but a recent thread about overtight belts, bearing wear and oil leaks has me concerned. I wish the Comptech kit came with an auto tensioner rather than the push and lock system. Must check it.

I did a search on AHHVTEC's FMIC and it seems he didn't have it set up for long. The first implementation was too restrictive. He then swapped to a better IC but never really reviewed it before going turbo.

Anyone else?

I was severely criticized for this, but anyway went on and did it. I will post pictures. I think the work came up just fine. I haven't tuned yet, so I don't know how much boost I lost, but as soon as I do Ill let you know.

Yellowstreak had it with his Comptech SC. PM Him.

FYI Bigpurp installed Tech2Motorsports Front Mount Radiator on his Vortech and dynoed similar numbers than he got with the Stock Vortech radiator.

I posted on this same topic before. To 2 fast for u

No one was able to come back with any improvements they claim but there were some people who were able to back up the disadvantages I had stated.
