Default Front park lights don't turn on

I have a MY00 and the front park lights / running lights don't turn on when the headlight switch is turned to the first or second posission. All other lights work, i.e. all turn signals, headlights, hazards, rear running lights, brake lights, all interior lights (most of the interior lights share a fuse with the park lights, or so I've read). When I lock or unlock the car with the remote, the rear lights flash but the fronts don't. I found a thread about this from a year ago but no one had a real answer, just to check the fuses and wiring. All fuses are good and I would think that if it was a wiring problem then the lights wouldn't work when the turn signal is applied. Anyone have this problem or have a solution? Thanks

If the bulbs were bad, wouldn't the turn signals not work?

Yes, the bulbs are separate. This also means that you will need to double check you are removing the parking lamp and not the blinker.

I have a front parking light bulb that goes in and out intermittently and nothing I can trouble shoot has figured it out... New bulbs, nothing I can figure out. Intermittent problem... Not to thread jack, but just throwing it out there that it may be more than just the bulbs.

Might be a fuse? Does your horn work? Do the brake lights work

Also what about your cruise control?
