Default Front Parking lights not working unless using hazard or turn signal

OK, so I've ran into a very strange issue with my front parking lights that I was unable to find an answer for online. Just to clarify, this is the front parking lights/turn signal only. The rear lights, brake lights, head lights, interior lights all function.

The Issue:
Front Parking Lights DON'T function during the following:
  • Using lock/unlock with key fob.
  • Turning Parking Lights on
  • Turning Headlights on
  • Turning car on
Front Parking Lights DO function during the following:
  • Turning Hazards on
  • Using Left/Right turn signal with keys in car turned to ACC/On
I have checked all fuses under the dash and under the hood. All fuses are good with fuse checker except for 2 fuses under the hood (). These however are good fuses and have no indication of blown.

Recent Work Done
This is my weekend car and my battery had died. While battery was in car, I connected a tickle charger up to the battery and after 18 hours, the battery charger light was green but also had Bad Battery light lit. The car worked for a day. The next day the battery was dead. I removed the battery and took it to a local auto parts where they confirmed it had 1 bad cell. Battery was replaced and the car now starts and runs fine. That night is when I noticed my parking lights were not working.

I believe they are dual element.

So one element may be blown. Or you put in the wrong bulb. Or the connector is incorrect.

And IIRC, its different for AP1s and AP2's.

I'm guessing yours is an AP1?

Most importantly....I also refer to my charger as a tickle charger.

Stop living my life.

HAHA, looks like Auto correct didn't catch that one.

Yes you're correct, this is on a AP1. I'll update post. I did not know these were dual filament but I will try to replace them and check again.
Of you're recommendations, that seems to be the most logical as the bulbs have not been replaced in some years.

P.S. Nice to see others that are still members since mid 2000's.

*Update*
I went to Sylvania's website to check the bulb compatibility and wasn't sure it was correct. So I first took the bulbs out and discovered, There is a separate bulb for parking lights and turn signal lights..... I'm guessing AP2 is dual filament.

Eitherway, the bulbs both look good, but the ballast on the otherhand… Pics added.

What could have caused this? Old Age, water damage, incorrect bulb, batter charger while connected to car?

Parking lights and Turn Signal lights are 2 different bulbs. They look like the same because they're both behind the same long diffuser.
The socket looks burnt possibly due to the bulb running hot. LEDs don't run as hot.

Thanks JS2K & Chuck S, I had discovered that they're 2 separate bulbs after getting my hands dirty and removing the bulb.

Because the possibility that the bulbs may be running too hot here in FL, I'm going to go with the Sylvania ZEVO LED series for low heat.

as always, thanks community.

I'd put LEDs in there but I ain't disassembling the whole front of the car to get to the bulbs while they're still working.

sockets with darkish heat marks are normal on these cars, the incandescent bulbs run hot, mine looked similar. Go LED for the parking lights they should last the life of the car.
