hmm... there are those little plastic
things sticking out right in front
of front wheels. i'm not sure
if those are called "splash guards"
but... my s2000 doesn't have those.
it wasn't there since when i picked
it up. what's up with that?

I assume you're talking about the air dam things. I hear they make a decent difference in aerodynamics, and they should have been installed by the dealer as part of PDI. I'd take up this issue with the dealer.

pellisS2k is correct, the dealer needs to install these as they are not mounted at time of delivery.

FYI, they are called "spats" and they decrease turbulent air flow around the wheels.

I've not seen that terminology in the Honda documentation. They are referred to as

three bolts hold each of these in. why wait for the dealer to do it? just lay down underneath the car and you'll see where they belong! for the rears, you might need to remove the tires, but if you have a short socket driver, you shouldn't have to have to. i recommend you get to know your car better and just do it yourself.

I thought they were splash guards too. I took them off because they rubbed on speed bumps. My car's nose is only 3" off the pavement though, so there's probably less tire exposed to "turbulence" than when it was stock height and exposed.
