Default front subframe bolt left side

Ok, so i just replaced my clutch and the front left 19mm bolt for the subframe is stuck! I guess it stripped out somehow and got crossthreaded. I cant get it to go up or down by hand or with an impact. Is it okay to drive the car with it like this? Has anyone ever had to fix this and if so how much did it run you to fix it and where? Sorry about all the questions, but i have been working on my car for over a month and a half and always run into a new problem. It started being just a clutch swap and ended up being a nightmare!!!
Thanks
Fadi

I had the same problem after the dealer cross threaded it and later I went to get it out. I cut it to about two inch length, threaded it, and used a nut and washers to secure that corner. Later when the service writer was fixing something else screwed up by a dealership mechanic they realized it was their screwup so he had someone drill it out and clean the threads.

I'll have to look but I think I can sell you the die to thread it and the washers and nut.

I had this happen once too. Would not go in or out with impact. It was never completely removed so it should not be stripped. After trying to go back in and out a little at a time by hand and with a breaker bar, it suddenly tightened with little effort. I believe dirt collected around the threads of the bolt which made it difficult to reinstall. I was ready to give up and it was very difficult fighting with it. I tried to spray wd through the seams not sure if this helped, I could not see the bolt

sometime lifting off the ground in different jacking spot can help.

unibody is just a big sheet of thin metal, they move and flex like a paper if you put enough load on them.

I've been having the same problem. Mine won't back out more than 1/2". The problem is that there is a first set of threads, and a second set of threads. The second set of threads aren't catching on to the nut and are cross threading. Anyone found a good solution to this besides cutting the bolt and drilling it out? thanks.

not really. Either thread it or weld it.

Does the upper threaded portion tighten onto a second nut? I'm thinking about cutting the bolt and drilling it out and then tapping the bottom nut but if you're tapping a nut you're going to have to go a bigger size. A 16mm thread size would work. If I need to tighten the bolt onto both nuts then I could get a helicoil and still retain the 14mm thread on the bottom nut.
