I'm in the process to order the comptech's front and rear sway bar and I have read on this board maybe a year ago that it's better to install only the front one to have a better balance.

For those who did some mods. on this area what do suggest me to do ?

The front bar alone will help control oversteer (not that you can't still induce it with throttle position). Ideally you'd like to use both bars but in this case the front bar is the one that most folks use. You may actually find that this front bar is not big enough if you autocross or track your car...

 

Under SCCA solo II rules It is legal to replace the front sway bar and stay in the stock autocross class, however the rear cannot be changed from OEM. That rule forces the issue for many of us that run a stiffer front bar. Ideally, you could tune both front and rear to achieve better balance. Also, if you run stickier tires that give relatively greater grip to the front, a stiffer front bar becomes even more important.

 

How will Tein RA's, Muz X-brace and 30mm solid front and rear sway bars affect handling? I have 17 inch rims too with 215/45 front and 245/40 rear. Is my setup aimed more towards oversteer, because thats what I DON'T want. I want to have as neutral handling as i can, but still be setup more towards understeer just to be safe. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

It depends on how your car react ! Only you can answer this with your set-up !
If you don't like oversteer ( witch is the way our car react with the OEM set-up ) as i can understand here you should remove your rear swaybar.

 

WAY too many variables here...

 

If money is not an object, you should consider just getting the adjustable front bar from Comptech.

 

And consider switching to 255/40-17 tires for the rear.

 

Did Honda mess up? Why all the untested suspension mods? It also depends on the model year. We've extracted about all we can get out of the '02 by putting on an '01 front bar and aligning properly.

 

ive noticed ALOT less body roll with the rear installed
