Fuel cap light on?

Default Fuel cap light on?

Yesterday my fuel cap light came on it just says its loss. The fuel cap is not loss I have checked it about 6 times and it has no problem going on and the seal is intact.
Any ideas????

Its not so much a light as a read out. It comes on were the odometer and clock would be (I have a 2007) it reads "CHECK FUEL CAP LOSS" I have never seen it come on until now.

yes 2007 S2000, I have hade two s2000 and never have I had this happen

i honestly didnt know the newer ones displayed messages like that...sorry i cant help...id say replace the cap, but i would imagine it would be throwing a code for an EVAP leak as well

Its very stange I have never seen a message on there before, I had no clue it did that but it won't turn off it covers up the display so I can't see the time or anything.

The same thing happened to my friend's 2006 Acura, ODB scanner has no code and could not reset it either, finally unplug the battery for 20 seconds and the message never came back on.
