fuel pressure regulator
Is putting a fuel pressure regulator worth it for the S2000? I'm not really sure what they are supposed to do in the first place, but would it have any benefits toward performance or...?

Nope.
An adjustable one will let you run the car a little leaner but the ECU will very quickly compensate for it and richen it up again.
FPRs with gauges were one of the first mods people tried on the S when S2ki (or maybe even Honda-Acura.net) began.
I do have the AEM fpr, but then I also have the AEM ecu.

Its only worth it if you have a need to alter the fuel pressure. If you're not sure what its for then the factory one will be just fine for you for quite some time You pretty much don't need one unless you've done a major upgrade like supercharger or turbocharger. Sure they can be used without if you want to do some crazy tuning, but wholly unnecessary on a mild-medium modded car.
That said, I'm still probably getting one, I've got an idea to try out
