fuel pump woes
FINALLY got a moment to look at my car.... the fuel pump is just running constantly with key on.......went and looked at the main relay, it's been messed with before and there is a wire jumping 2 wires on the relay together (which when unhooked shuts the pump off entirely) so when the wire is hooked up...pump runs all the time with key on. with wire Off, pump doesn't run at all...ever
bad main relay? or should i be looking at the ecm? or?

Sounds like somebody's crappy repair job for a bad relay. I haven't looked in the relay box on the S, is there another relay there that's exactly the same but used for something else (like high beams)? If so, swap it and test it that way.
Does the car have a JDM ECU? If so its probably a hack to get the pump running. The JDM uses a different pin to control the fuel pump relay to the other market ones. ( A15 and A16 from memory). The solution on the web is to hotwire is so the pump is running all the time. Not the best solution as the pump will not stop if you have a big accident. Once a fuel line is cut you will get gallons a minute.
I normally just open the ECU and bridge the connectors on the back of the circuit board to save changing the cars loom.

i'll take a pic of it. i don't know (don't think?) the car has a jdm ecm.
the fuel pump is constantly just running with the wire hooked up and it's just flowing into the rail and right back through the return line... car also won't start but kind of try's on a shot of ether (but ran a couple weeks ago...and nothing changed that i'm aware of)

went out there tonight to do a compression check...(180-220psi) cleaned the plugs/coils, figured i'd give it a try since i went through all that, fired up first crank over and no more miss at idle! it does have a p0135 CEL (o2 sensor)..but runs good and smooth now.
