Default gapping denso iridium ik24 (pics)

for those with denso plugs.

how do you gap?

what do you use?

edit: oh yeah, i am running n/a, so they should be gapped between 0.040-0.043 right?

btw, these are very nice!!!

Maybe you will be the THIRD s2k I have seen denso plugs fail in and ruin an engine I have read about 4 or so.

It is typically not a good idea to change the gap on this type of plug. It can be measured, and if it's close (.033-.043) I'd leave it.

Well, YOU'D leave it

Stock NGK is the absolute best for your NA car.

alright, going back to return the densos tomorrow then and get the ngks instead.

next question, what type of ngks?

edit: thanks guys! if it wasnt for you all especially bill man, i would have ran into alot of trouble pheww

Can't go wrong with OEM NGK's Try a dealer or hardtopguy.

Fire wire electrodes on Platinum and Iridium NGK's come pre-gapped, and don't need to be messed with. You can easily break the electrode or ground strap "adjusting" the gap.
