Gas Pedal Squeek
Hey everyone,
I'm a proud new owner of a 2005 Sebring Silver S2000. I love it to death and it puts a huge smile on my face everything I look at it or drive it. It's completely bone stock so I have some nice plans for it in the short future.
However, I have been experiencing a problem. My gas pedal squeeks when I release it at times. Usually, it's more evident when I am rev-match downshifting. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks!

Im sure it's lack of lubrication. Im sure every car lubricates little differently and some cars will just start to squeak earlier than the others. Try couple sprays with WD-40. Dont soak it but little spray and see if sound goes away. Let me know how that goes. I'd like to know also

Under the dash at the back of the footwell you'll see a rod that extends from the accelerator pedal upwards. You'll see some connections and pivot points/joints/springs, etc. Try lubricating the pivot point with silicone spray lubricant and see if that solves the squeak.
