Default Gas smell, and other problems

So I have a year 2000, and it smells like gas on the start ups. And whenever I go from 1st to 2nd gear I'll have to give it way more gas than usual for it to go. I had the evap deleted so idk if that's the reason for the smell? I also got a new dual exhaust so I may also need a tune. But again, I'm not sure.
any help would be much appreciated thanks.

How do you expect to tune this car?

Since the gasoline smell started with you deleted the evap system it's safe to predict it's the problem unless your aftermarket exhaust removed the catalytic converter. The OE exhaust is quite good as far as exhaust flow is concerned so a reasonable aftermarket replacement should be handled by the OE ECU.

It depends on how you did the EVAP delete but if your fuel tank is now continuously venting it vapors then that is very likely the cause of smelling gas. On a previous car I owned I deleted EVAP too which caused a gas smell.

Are you driving a stock s2000? You might want to check if your catalytic converter is alright, unless you have test pipes.
