Default Gasket Between Cat and exhuast piping

Does anyone know what the part number for the gasket between the cat and the exhaust piping is (behind the cat)? When I came to the dealer to buy the part, they gave me a donut gasket, I was looking for the flat triangular gasket. I told the parts guy to look it up again, and the only thing that showed up on the computer was that donut gasket. Thanks.

On the stock exhaust it is the donut type gasket.

Yes, the stock exhaust gasket between the cat and intermediate pipe is a round donut-like shape. FWIW, this is the same part in some Acura Legends (#18302-SP0-003). When I installed my aftermarket exhaust, the local Honda dealers did not have the S2000 specific part, so I used the Acura one. I fit perfectly and is still working fine after 20k + miles.

What you are looking for is a Aftermarket exhaust to OEM cat gasket. When I was looking for a new one, I contacted a few sponsors to see if they sold them. They refered me to the manufacture.

On the OEM Part, number 11 looks more like a metal ring than a gasket. Here is on in the flesh. Part number 8 looks like a donut.

Yea, that's what the parts guy gave to me. Where can I find the aftermarket exhaust to OEM cat gasket? Sorry if I wasn't clear about using an aftermarket exhaust to stock cat. I really appreciate the help!

I don't understand why you'd need a triangular gasket - the OEM cat is designed to use a circular one. It's a circular pipe, after all. Using something triangular when the piping is circular would hinder the flow some, I imagine. What exhaust do you have? If it requires a triangular gasket, you'll have to get it from them. Honda doesn't make anything triangular.

He is trying to reinstall an aftermarket exhaust. All of the aftermartket exhausts I have seen, don't use the OEM style gasket. They use triangular gasket. The gasket he needs sits between the cat and the aftermarket exhaust. The OEM Cat has a flat flange and the OEM gasket fits into the OEM exhaust.
