I have trouble changing up from 2nd to 3rd gear when >6000rpm. I have to push the gear stick quite hard to get it in. All other gear changes at any revs are fine. Any suggestions please?

 

You unfortunately have an ap1 and that is a problem with our cars. If you search around there is a lot of members complaining about their 3rd gear being notchy, but not quite grinding. This is a difficulty with the slightly too weak 3rd gear synchro. I am experiencing 3rd gear difficulties, not quite as bad as yours but still bothersome. I found that it goes away after the car warms up. I also double clutch from 2nd to 3rd until it's fully warmed up.

The fact that you have difficulties above 6k also points to the synchro since it has to work harder to stop the gear especially under powershifts during more spirited driving.
