Default Gear does not engage

When starting the car the gears do not seem to engage. after a few seconds the first to 4th gear seem to engage but with difficulty. Reverse is impossible to engage at all!! But once i drive for a few minutes and change the gears on high rpms it gets smoother and smoother ... so after 15 mins its back to normal and reverse can be engaged too!! If i switch off the car depending on the time left it gets harder so upto an hour it seems to get a bit tough but all gears with the reverse can be engaged. I tried with the car switched off and its the same, does not get any smoother. Any one experienced this??

I have changed the clutch kit a month ago and at the same time asked Honda to flush my transmission and change my diff oil. i was checking the clutch oil (the smaller container on the right side) and the fluid seems to be dark. is that normal or should it be clear like the brake oil?

I would check the invoice to see Honda put MTF or 10W30 engine oil in the transmission.

Yes, make certain that the correct fluid was used in the transmission. And, even though it's unrelated to the problem you report here, double check that the correct fluid (GL5 - rated) was used in the differential.

Dark clutch fluid does not indicate a problem. However, since you had a clutch fluid replacement performed, I'd check to make sure the system was bled thoroughly. The hydraulic clutch is notoriously difficult to bleed, and if there is air in the system you will experience the symptoms you describe.

Our clutch fluid tends to get dark very quickly. This does not necessarily mean that it's gone bad. The only way to tell its quality is to test it.
