Are you changing your transmission fluid or your rear end? In the tranny, I use Honda MTF. In the differential I use AMSOIL.

Your poll didn't take my vote.

Well, for the gear grind, you would try a different transmission oil. On that note, do NOT put Mobil1 75W-90 in the transmission, only in the differential. MT-90 and Honda MTF is ok for the tranny. I've heard good things from my customers about Redline MT-90 for curing the gear grind.

No, the dif fluid will not affect the gear grind. go with Redline, AND...adjust the clutch rod under the dash to zero freeplay, and it will likely resolve the grind. Has worked many times for me on lot's of S's..

You're asking about apples and oranges. I don't think that mobil-1 75w-90 gear oil going to do your transmission any good. The tranny needs a GL-4 oil, the rear diff a GL-5 and the two are not interchangeable in this car.

My choice for the transmission is Redline MT-90 btw. Works for me on the track and in this hot Vegas summer.

I also use redline mt90. It's great here in the heat!

The mobil 1 your talking about is for the diff. I know I used to use it back there before switching to LE. Here is the info for it http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lubes/PDS...t_LS_75W-90.asp
