I found this video on youtube someone else posted, mine is doing something similar to this as well. Anyone know what it is?? Is this the clutch buzz?? Around the gearbox also makes a noise when I rev it up also..

That's my video of a car I test drove. From what I'm told it's clutch buzz.

 

Uploaded my video, you can hear it at the end a lot better. It's the rattling ish sound.

 

I am not sure it's clutch buzz, from what I've heard that only happens when decelerating, and from the sound of it you also have rattles accelerating (or not?). I had a similar sound, from the vibrating gear lever with too much slack on the ball lever seat (needed replacing). Do you still have the rattling sound when holding the gear lever?

 

It's only when I decel that it rattles, that's a video from my phone so I was also trying to drive/video at the same time and I may of hit something with the phone. The gear shift does vibrate, I'll have to see if it does it while I hold the shifter.

 

This is late, but when I pull the shifter up on deceleration the noise kind of goes away. Anyone?

umm from that video (which doesnt show rpm, or anything else for that matter) I would say thats not clutch buzz...and it doesnt seem to be rpm decel dependant. what rpm does this start/stop?

miles on fluids?

 

backlash?
