Default gearing effect torque

http://www.geocities.com/johnkenneth...ing.htm?200716
if you go to this link it shows you how much effective tq you have in each gear(which is trans ratio x primary gear x final gear x average tq).so with a little time i adjusted the number to reflect 4.77's in a ap1.this is really so you can see what type of difference the gearing makes on tq since dynos cant measure gear change.
trans gear--4.10--4.77
1st--1937--2252
2nd--1264--1470
3rd--916--1064
4th--718--834
5th--600--698
6th--501--582
enjoy

Don't forget the reduction gear in the transmission. That needs to be multiplied into the diff results for the total torque multiplication. Also, note that the transmission gears and reduction gear differ in the 00-03 and 04+ cars...

So in first gear with 4.77 gears you are putting down 2252 ft. lbs of tq.?

Stock AP1 is 2279.78 lb-ft:

153 lb-ft * 4.1* 3.133 * 1.16

1) torque
2) diff ratio
3) 1st gear ratio
4) trans secondary reduction

This ignores drivetrain loss, of course...
