Guess that depends on which gears you ordered.

What are you thinking then?

It is a fact that the OEM speedo is off by 2-4% from the factory. There was a class action lawsuit about this and Honda Settled.

Since the speed signal is comming off the transmission, secondary shaft of the 00-05 and output shaft of the 06-07 (VSS is why). That means they spec'ed the signal to assume a 4.10 rear gear. The only way that Honda could have configured the car to NOT need the speedo to be fixed is that they use wheel speed sensors.

So that fact is yes, you need one. Change the gears, fix the speedo. If not, a 4.56 ration will net you 11% more mileage on the OD and 11% more speed on the SD.

If you bought or leased a model year 2002 through 2006 Honda or Acura automobile or a model year 2007 Honda Fit, in the United States or its territories, between April 13, 2002 and November 7, 2006, you may be entitled to receive benefits under a class action settlement.

Yours doesn't count, your car isn't from the correct years, sorry.

Yes, you will need a yellow jacket or yellow box. They are not that difficult to put in. Rick's has the box http://www.ricks2k.com/products/yellowbox.php , HTG has the jacket .
