Hi everyone,

So the previous owner of my 01 AP1 gave me a brand new OEM soft top to replace on the car, but it didn't come with the retrofit kit for the 02+ glass tops.
Does anyone know where I can buy just the kit?

 

I don't thinkSt ere is such a thing (?). Bestop and EZ Top make new tops which have the glass for the '00-'01 but I am not aware of a kit to zip in to an OEM.

The kit is just some elastic straps, rivets and aluminium plates. I bought my elastic from Spotlight (a local haberdashery).

I think the OP is looking to convert a new 2001 OEM top (i.e. plastic window) to glass with some kind of kit; I am not aware of such a kit. If he had a 2002 OEM top (I.e. glass window) replacement to go on his '00-'01 AP1 then the strap kit you mention would be needed. It is available from Modifry.com here in the states.
