Best thing is to get the code first. Then it can be diagnosed from there.

Probably not related to your CEL, but you did retract the tensioner before install?

ofc with a 5mm bolt, got it all the way down flush, lubed the O-rings and slid it back in. Haven't got around to checking the code yet, but I will most likely do it tomorrow if not then Saturday (I'm not DDing it for the time being)

It was the louzy gas cap guys, I've noticed it for sometime but, only got 2 CEL's in the course of 3 years, only bc the gas cap is trash , the rubber seal is cracked and old, what's a good OEM one to buy? I searched around and all I found were the "Stant" gas cap for my02 http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200..._tank_cap.html

Thank you for this helpful information I don't think I could have figured out what to do if it weren't for you! I think I'll throw away my gas cap and just use some OEM Duct Tape

Yes, I asked a simple question, I'm tired of all the wise guys on here, this is a community forum for our cars lol, yet if you do research and find nothing and have to ask a question on here, you get someone like that that can't even help you answer a simple question. It's rather annoying, I guess I'll just buy this one and see how it does, if it doesn't work, I'll buy another one that claims OEM
