Default Got tuned this weekend! Check it out!

Hey everyone, I got tuned this weekend with Giles and would like to share my result. My mods are T1R 70R-EM sports exhaust, T1R 70mm test-pipe, AUT Cooling Plate, K&N Drop-in filter, J's thermostat, NGK spark plugs, Greddy E-manage. My car is tune on a dynapack with e-manage. Here is the result:

dotted: stock w/ tune
solid: new tune with mods

I lost some power between 2700-3500 but gained some healthy mid-range all the way to red line. He also dropped my v-tech to 4000rpm with 85% throttle to smooth out the power band. I was upset when I saw the lost of power but I guess the gains mid-high makes up for it. I was expecting more from the test-pipe and exhaust, a local member made 251whp with stock exhaust/cat and had healthy gains all the way with no loss. I was shocked that his lower end was stronger than mine. Oh wells, I do have one of the best sounding exhaust on the market! Enjoy.

your VTEC engages at 4k rpm. Isnt that going to tear your engine up and chug gas being in vtec from 4-8.5 k? otherwise, congrats on the gain. No worries about the guy with the better low end. You can stomp him on the highway.

Word. Then i guess, keep it under 85% throttle. I know i would have a hard time doing that. But i drive like an asshole with too much prune juice.

nice gains! it seems the never ap2's are tuned very well from the factory.....

early ap1's pick up upwards of 25 RWHP from a good tune.

great gains

That gain you are talking about is with full bolt ons? Or just tuning the rich stock fuel map? Been hard for me to find a good thread showing the gains really from tuning an early AP1.

thats with just tuning, then you add bolt-ons, early ap1's are Extremely underpowered vs the newer ap2's

search for greddy e-manage threads, one of them was made by Giles, great info.

I dunno, either this dyno is extremely generous or this graph is

What was the A/F ratio and the correction factor used?
What was the temp, humidity and elevation? and were these accounted for?
Who tuned it, and what were they using?

Sorry, its just 251 HP and climbing on an AP2 with bolt-ons and a tune is hard to grasp
