Default Green Clutch Fluid?!

So I have been noticing for a while that every time I get home from work my car smells like something is burning. I figured it was just a plastic bag on the exhaust or something, but after about a week I decided to pop the hood and look for any oddities. The only thing I noticed is that my clutch fluid is... GREEN?? I did the clutch delay valve removal about 4 months ago (2000 miles maybe) and replaced the clutch fluid with Prestone DOT 3 brake fluid. I just went and poured a little bit out of the bottle and it is perfectly clear, no green at all. What the heck could be causing that?? What did I do wrong

Edit - 2005, mostly stock, 43k miles

Well, its contamination, obviously. I'd assume you either tore the CDV and its disintegrated into the fluid or with age, other seals have started to go. Check the seal for the clutch pedal against the firewall inside the cabin - is it weeping fluid? Beyond that, you might not have refilled the system properly and are dragging or slipping clutch, thus the stink, since you're cooking your friction disc.

Most commonly, clutch & brake fluid is amber in color.Add to that black/brown clutch dust will give you a green murky color.

A full system bleed & refill is needed.Check this guy out.He has a good protocol for any clutch.

Great thanks for the link, I will follow his suggestions asap. Could you guys point me in the direction of good instructions for bleeding the clutch? Maybe I did this wrong and my clutch isn't fully disengaging.
