The sound you are describing seems to be really similar to the noise my car is making. I uploaded a video of me driving when it was happening, does it sound similar to mine? Trying to figure this out too.
The noise in your video sounds different then mine. Yours seems to be a higher pitched grinding sound and appears to come and go when your driving. Mine is a constent rubbing noise. I'm leaning toward a hub or bad bearing on my end.

From your video i would suggest checking your pads and wear indicators. Thats what it sounds like to me. Let me know what you find. Its very possible we could both be having the same issue.
Thank you for the info, Ill definitely be checking the brakes out. I'll post what I find.

My brakes were looking bad, so I took my car to firestone for a free brake checkup. They said both my front rotors are shot and they need to be replaced along with the pads cause right now, its metal against metal. They said thats the cause of that sound in my video. It happens even when i'm not braking, but i guess i ought to change my rotors/pads regardless. Looking to buy genuine s2k rotors and pads. Hopefully this gets rid of it, seems to be right. Hoping its not bearing or cv joint, doubt it is.

So an update:

The problem i was having was a metal grinding noise coming from the front when the car is moving. This is in/out of gear, clutch in or out. It doesn't make this noise when the car is still, even when revving the engine.

So i replaced the suspected bad wheel bearing and there was no change with my issues.

I finally had a chance to have someone ride along me with to help track down just where the noise is coming from. We were able to trace the noise down to what seems like under the radio area by your feet (transmission tunnel?). So i was wrong to think it was a bad wheel bearing or brake issue. It now seems that this is more of a transmission problem now. So does this seem like it may be a clutch/flywheel/pressure plate problem? I have read multiple threads about output bearings and pilot bearings and throw out bearings. The noise seems to me more forward so i'm ruling out the diff for the moment. Now i have noticed that my throw out bearing does make noise when sitting still and it goes away when i push the clutch in. Could this make noise when under load?

Any advice with how to precede would be great. What can i look for next? How can i eliminate certain options?

Thanks.

Sounds just like my wheel bearing issue. Could be a front hub? I popped mine in the air and put it in gear (dangerous, i guess) and found a wheel bearing noise right away. Its hard to pin point the noise.

I replaced the whole passenger side hub and upper control arm. No change in the noise at all. Re-bleed the brakes. I too thought for sure it was a wheel bearing but it begins making this noise as soon as the car starts rolling. Normally with my experience with bad wheel bearings they don't really become noticeable until higher speeds.

As for the transmission, fluid was changed, bleed and cleaned the CMC with new fluid. Diff fluid was changed. This was all in the last 300 miles. No change. Sounds like its coming from the front of the transmission. Maybe pilot bearing? Clutch issue? I didn't adjust my clutch height or re-grease anything. Is it possible that may be the issue? Any ideas?

I need to get the car up on all four's and put it in drive. I think only then will i be able to track down the noise properly.

Bump. Had the car out today and the noise is still there. Also when driving there is a noticeable noise reflection of walls and other objects. Almost like a ticking or metal on rail sound. I also noticed a slight wine coming from the transmission on deceleration, but it could be my imagination.

So what I'm I looking at here? Replace the tranny? Bearings inside the tranny? Tct noise? Wheel bearings?
