You should remove the little L shape scoop on the underside of the lid too - then you will notice a lot more throttle response!

I cut the divider down to just above an inch (still some protection) and blocked the hole (remove the filter and it's the hole that leads to the resonator chamber) with a piece of plastic and glue and then removed the L shap funnel on the underside of the airbox cover.

Then I added a Spoon replica air duct.

All in all - a very effective mod. It is recommended by Spoon themselves - the mods of the box that is.

Interesting, I actually contemplated this at one point in time, but I didn't do it because I figured that the box would already be tuned from Honda. Spoon Sports details these modifications someplace? Do you have a web site link? I'd be interested in looking into this.

that thing isnt tuned man its restricted as hell... let it open up and breathe... all it had was about a 1/2" by 4 inch opening now it has the full airbox... id leave a bit at the bottom to keep the box rigid and leave some inner structure tho... i left about an inch as well

I am wondering how blocking the baffle area increases performance?

more air is availible for the filter instead of being in the baffle... plus makes it louder
