Default H&R Coilover Kit ! What Do You Know ?

I'm about to buy this kit for my S2k but couldn't decide yet because I don't know anyone who uses this kit. The price seems very low which makes me doubt the kit quality and all... If anyone have any experiences with this kit, please post...

Thanks in advance,

P.S. With the same price range ($1200), what other setup would you guys recommend ?

I'm running the H&R coilovers on my 04 M3... I expected more out of this setup! I paid 1950 for the product 2400 total including install! Wasn't worth it! My other alternative was the Tein SS with EDFC for 1750... Tein is better quality I guarantee!

I had the Tein (RA's) on my 03 s2000 they were "awesome"... rode smooth, and the cars handling improved +++... I also had the Spoon STB and X Brace.

If you have the H&R coilovers on your car already... you'll get use to them but to soft IMO! One thing for sure you can slam the sh!t! out of your car with either setup!

I was wondering about the H&R coilover set-up for my car but I could not find a threads nor post from anybody, so maybe this info will help...

H&R spring rate for S2000 is approx. 340 lbs/in (6kg/mm) front and rear. For comparison, MY2000-2001 S2k spring rate seems to be 219 lbs/in front and 291 lbs/in rear. I called H&R and they told me their spring rate, front and rear, gave a more neutral feel to the car.

Hope this helps a little in your decision.

Bilstein makes the dampers for these which probably makes them very comparable to the Bilstein PSS system.(not the pss9) May want to look at both.
There's a guy in Group Buys trying to get some PSS9's going for $1600. which is a great deal.

Bilstein makes the dampers for both but the spring rates are different.
Bilstein rates their springs at approx. 340 lbs/in front & 285 lbs/in rearfor the PSS. I called Neuspeed for this info and they also told me this spring rate dials out some oversteer behavior inherent with some S2000s. H&R coilover spring rate is approx. 340 lbs/in front and rear for a more "neutral" feel. They are both very compatible to one another. Choose carefully grasshopper...
