Default handbrake

Hey

I'm speaking on my behalf of my mate.

Basically he was driving his s2000 and ripping it for maybe like at least 10 minutes but the handbrake was just a tad up and didn't realise
He stopped and smelt some smoke and the rears was smoking out.

he said his left his car in the garage now with the handbrake down letting it cool down but anyway he tested it out now. nothing seems to be a problem

ivee driven it cos i've got an s2000 too but i don't see really any big difference and also
tried rolling just abit and pulling the handbrake up and it stops as per normal.

is there anything my mate should be concerned about or something that should be checked? or replaced?

Thanks
