Default Head Gasket Removal

Has anyone done this by themselves and does it require super mechanics capabilities? I've done clutches and basic bolt on install/remove for the S but never touched the engine. Does this work require specific tools and precise measuring instruments? Thanks.

its not that hard just time consuming and u need the honda manual to know what to torque everything down to. you should be able to do it if u take your time and do everything right

agree, it's a pita if you have a weak back like me, you have to bend over to peel all the old gasket out(don't use power tool)

make double sure on the torque sequence and spec, or you'll end up doing it again soon

it is basically removing the cylinder head, reinstalling the head gasket, and installing the cylinder head again...correct?

time consuming indeed.

is your head gasket leaking?

No its not leaking, just feeling out if its worth having a shop doing it for $500-600. I do everything myself but when it comes to the engine i get pretty shy.

2mm is fine unless you want to boost a whole lot
